    Finding Out Who Your First Twitter Follower Was 

    If someone has the skills to create an application that interfaces with Twitter they have my respect.  However, that does not mean I find the application useful.

    In this blog I don’t really endorse applications or products, instead I simply report my findings and unfortunately you are on occasion subjected to my opinion.

    First Follower.com is an application that the programmer is certainly flexing his or her programming muscle by showing us they can tap into the Twitter database, extract followers and date of following however, past that I am not sure what value the application has.

    I do have some ideas of features that could be added should I have the privilege of should I have privilege to exchange thoughts with the programmer.

    Useful Twitter Tool 

    I found a very useful tool created by Digg, Inc. to help you will your search for Twitter folks at have a certain skill or interest.  The tool that I am talking about it is http://www.wefollow.com.

    The site has a “top tags”  and “top cities” categories and many subcategories.  The search is exceptional as you can enter the category you are looking for.  For example, if you are looking for individuals that are blog you simply the term and the site displays a list of individuals that blog for you.

    The site features offer endless potential in niche specific marketing.

    You can also add yourself to the site by selecting the following:

    Upon selecting the “Add yourself to WeFollow” the following screen will appear:

    As you can see it is a basic “fill in the blank” form.  Two important things I want to note to you; one is that you can even the location blank if you chose and secondly, is you only have 5 categories to list yourself in so choose by priority of interest.

    You finish up with a “tweet to complete.”
